Blog closeing
Hi to all our followers and guests. We are regreting that we will have to cancel the blog for now Due to life changes. Debbie and I have decided that it would be best if we close the blog down until life settles down. A new job in another city as been taken and with so many unknowns with internet contections and time to keep up with the blog we have decided we would cancel the blog for now. We will be thinking however, how we can improve and come back better and stronger when the time is right. We so much enjoyed doing the blog that this is just a small bump in the road and Debbie and I will always be great friends and we will be Scrappin together whenever possible. I (tammy) will be contiuneing the LOs on my blog but you will only see mine as of now. They will be posted on Mondays.

A Walk in My Garden
I have taught several classes using this cartridge including the classes taught at very first SWARM that was held in 2007! I did a 3-D wheelbarrow to hold candy! There is so much on ths cart that can be used for alot of different things! The bugs would be great for boy pages! Then flowers for girly pages ... so much creativity on this cartridge! I don't have a title on this page but am pleased without one... All the cuts came from the featured cart this time...I hope you enjoy...

Queen of the Hive
Double Page done by Tammy
This is of my niece (the title says it ALL)
Hi everyone and Welcome back to the Twocricutfriends blog. This week we are featuring the WALK IN MY GARDEN cartridge. I just love this cart and have used it alot. JUST an FYI: I have another LO that was done using mainly this same cart on MY PINK STAMPER in the gallery section, its in the walk in my garden album. I am so honored to be featured there. Ok enough of that, now on to this weeks LO. I had such fun with this one. When this LO came to me, I grabbed my Gypsy and started putting it together. The title was BEE Utiful baby till I changed it to this current one. I did transfer this one like I have the others however, the font was cut using my G cause its Gypsy font. Although I didn't use a lot of different cuts, I just love this one and putting all those bees together took awhile. LOL They are cut at 1" and 1 1/2". The base paper is from the Mariposa DCWV card stock stack (I thought it looked like the color of honey). The corners paper and the lettering paper came from Linen closet. I used coordination's CS for the hives and blue pic layers and all the pink on the tag and the 3 squares layer (Page 2). All of my bee paper came from scraps. The patterned paper behind the pics came from spring stack 09 ( I think).
PAGE 1
Everything but the font, corner piece, and pic layers is WIMG cart. I pop dotted some of the bees on this page for dimension.
Close up of the hive Page 1
Wanted to show how I embossed the hives and lightly inked them.
PAGE 2
Everything on page 2 (except for corner and pic layers and font) is cut with WIMG, I also pop dotted some of the bees here too.
another close up of page 2
The 3 squares is a cut on the cart (I didn't weld them) they were already like that. I think if memory serves me right its a shadow to the seed packets. I used the center section for a journal spot. Just a note: I used my DS copy and paste feature and sized the pink to sit just inside the green, but it wouldn't size exactly right so that's why they are off a bit. I was still very happy with it. I did the same technique to the hive on this page as I did on page 1.

Well that is it for me this week. I hope you enjoyed this LO . I would love to have comments to see how I'm doing. Thanks so much for looking today and come back Friday to see what Debbie has come up with using this cart.

Easter Time fun
Page done by Tammy
Here is my A CHILD'S YEAR layout for this week. This was another cart that I really didn't want, but now that I have it I'm glad I do. LOL go figure. I really had fun putting this one together on my Gypsy because I knew I wanted to put my niece on it. I design alot of my LO's while on school bus trips (lots of free time while waiting) using the G then, as most of you know by now, I still love my DS (but would love an upgrade for this software) for tweaking and cutting it out. I am just very fond of my DS and I love the size of my LT screen. MY Gypsy is a great size for taking with me, I just put it in my purse and carry it around with me. This works really well for me. I Design most of my LOs while I'm sitting at these after school activities and this helps pass my time. I love them both and would be lost without either one.
For this LO I used everything on A CHILD'S YR cart Except for the Eggs (I used a small oval hand punch)and the hidden Tag on page two(I just cut a small rectangle and used a corner punch ). The font is included on the cart. I love it when a font is on the shape carts. I used the dotted Swiss card stock for my base and the patterned paper is from the spring glitter stack( I think last yrs) and I used AC card stock for the shadowing and some coordination's for the wording. I used just plain Black smooth CS for the silhouettes.
PAGE 1
I used the card cutout that is on the this cart to use it for my picture frames. I shadowed it using DS. I also welded the wording in DS, again I just like the Size of my Lt screen to see it better. A note on the grass cuts, I used the grass cut on this cart but I cut off the flowers. I also welded enough grass pieces together to fit my 12" page.
PAGE 2
I used two different frames on this page. I shadowed both with DS.
Page 2 close up
Here is a close up of the filled up basket.
Page 2 close up
Here is a close up of how I journaled this LO. I just put adhesive on a certain part of the frame so I could slide this journal tag in behind the pic. Its not completely hidden so one will know its there. I still need to do the actual journaling, but will do that before I place the page in my album.

That will conclude this weeks LO's, we still have more to come next week so ck back with us then. NEXT week Debbie and I will be featuring the WALK IN MY GARDEN cartridge. I will be posting on Wednesday and Debbie on Friday. We so much appreciate all of you that are following us and visiting our blog and would love to get feedback on how we are doing. What things would you like to see on our blog??? We both are quite busy at current time but when things slow down we hope to bring more to our blog.

A Child's Year Layout
I love love love this cartridge! It reminds me of all the wonderful postcards and pieces my grandmother had in her collection.. most of those were made with black paper but I decided to use pink and brown for my submission... I think they worked together perfectly! Of course this is My Miss Olivia in her crochet dress a friend of her Grandma Tammie's made for her.. the workmanship of the dress, bonnet, and booties is a work of art....but of course the Star is Miss Olivia! (sorry shameless brag by Nana)
I found this little dress on the hanger and hung it off the word just on a whim but decided I loved it like that! I believe it is under the icon feature but don't make me swear to that, I cut one in pink and then placed a piece of brown behind it to make the shadow since that wasnt a feature for that cut, a dab of brown chalk rubbed over it to show up the detail and its all finished. I did use Technique Tuesday rubber stamps with vintage brown ink to do the curly cues in the background of the white and the word Precious on the layout
These two little faeries are SO cute! I do recommend you don't cut them very small because the wings have a lot of detail and you may want to slow your bug down as you make those tiny cuts.

Nana's Little Lamb
Easter always is a special holiday for me... and now that Miss Olivia is here its even more special she is such a joy... These pictures are from last years Easter Services.. I as talking to her during church... The journaling was done on circles I cut from the cartridge then cut them in half.. I used Versamark and a rubber stamp to stamp lines along them for writing on.. I love how it turned out! I hope you enjoy this page as much I as enjoyed making it... and I hope you ALL had a wonderful blessed Easter..
Debbie
I wanted to do something different with my Title so I used the Songbird cart with my Gypsy. I created my saying and used he Cricut markers to make the lettering.. Then I used the image I wanted it to be and centered it over he saying making sure it was centered and the circle was large enough to hold the saying... then its VERY IMPORTANT that you erase the wording BEFORE you return the blade to the cricut and cut! that way the only thing that cuts is the circle around the saying...
The Little lambs were cut out and then I used white flowersoft for the fluff of he lambs... googly eyes and you are all finished with them!
The Little bows were actually supposed to be used around the neck of chick I think.. I cut them out and layered them so the darker pink shown through the lighter... finished them off with little pearls and used the larger ones for the top corners and the smaller ones for the border along the bottom.. I was pleased with the results I hope you like them too

Happy Easter
LAYOUT done by Tammy
Hello everyone, welcome to Easter Mini 2010 week. Here is what I came up with for this weeks LO. I designed this on my Gypsy and then transferred the file to my DS for cutting. I'm still very partial to the larger screen. Everything on both pages are cut using my Easter cartridge except the 4 picture layers . The half circles on both ends where pieces left over from when I was experimenting with the cupcake holder so really those came from the cart too, just not as a regular cut, lol. This was one of those, I don't want that cart, but look who got it anyway. I am now glad I bit the bullet and got it.
Page 1 That's me in the green shirt ( thought I better add me to a page or two so my great grand kids will know who I was. :) and my niece who was the joy of this day.
Wanted to show how I used the cupcake holder for a title border here. I used two scallop circles (also on the cart) to cover up the joining marks on the holder.
Page two of my LO. The scalloped circle is a neat cut, I used my CM circle cutter to cut out the picture.

super special
Here is my take on the Accent Essentials cartridge. I plan on putting pics of my coming 2 yr old niece on this LO. Everything here was cut using our featured cart except for the font, which is George. I used the Dotted swiss Card stock stack as the base on this LO and I would suggest that be a stack everyone needs. I found it at HL.
Here is Page 1, which will be the home of a larger pic of my niece (a cropped 5x7). I just love that large flower on the corner of the picture base. I cut this with some shimmer paper and pop dotted the white part up to give the flower some depth. I had fun cutting all those foam dots in half to fit. I also used some stickles on it to give it a little bling and I inked the leaves. The squares that are lined down the front of the page are negitives so I backed them with white.
A close up of the flower on page 1.
Here's page 2 , again I used one of the flowers from this cart, only this time I used white glitter paper, I added some liquid pearls in the center and inked the leaf. The upper Right hand frame is cut with multi layers and glued one upon the other ( I think its 2 layers) to act as chipboard for dimension and then cut once with the patterned paper to finish it up. I really enjoyed using this cart and will be pulling it out more for my general scrappin.
I hope you all enjoyed my LO today and come back soon cause on Wednesday of next week, I will be posting my LO of our Featured Cartridge. NEXT WEEKS CART IS...........................................EASTER from the spring mini collection 2010, you won't want to miss it.
Thanks for visiting today.
Just a note
Hello to all. We just wanted to tell you guys a little more about our blog and about us. We met at a swarm that we both attended in Ky back in 2007 and we have been friends ever since. We are from different states but talk on the phone often so we can keep up with each other. We both have a passion for scrapbooking and in doing so, we are preserving our families memories for generations to come. We both have a passion for our CRICUTS and all the Carts we own, although Debbie has the most (shhhh 103 to date..but, let's not tell her husband!), Tammy isn't far behind her with over 70+ carts. We are in such trouble this year cause of the 100 new ones going to be announced through out the yr. We love using our Design Studio's and Gypsy's, although Debbie does favor the G while Tammy favors the DS, but this is strictly for the screen size.
Since we do live in different states we wanted to do this challenge with a blog so we could use carts we own and see what each of us can come up with while using the same cart. We are not sharing what the other is doing until our LO's are complete and ready for posting here, so if at times you see the same cuts on our LO's , its not planned that way. It will be so fun exploring our carts ( some of which have only been slightly used) to see just what a gold mine it is. We hope you will continue to visit us often and maybe get some idea's for your own scrappin fun.

First Bath
Ok just as promised we are going to kick off our blog I know we said April 1st which is tomorrow but we are going to take turns posting on Wednesday and Friday, so we are kicking off a day early.. This week I am gonna get the party started with my first layout with Accent Essentials. When working with this solution cartridge(solution meaning its not a full cartridge and there is only one feature key) I found alot of really unique shapes that can be kinda funky! The Alphabet is Alphalicious, I used the shadow feature on that so as to make the letters "fatter". So here is my submission... I hope you enjoy..
Cool Retro Flowers I love these shapes
This reminded me a bit of bubbles

Adore!
It has been a long long winter and I was in the mood for Spring! Can ya tell? Here is my interpretation of Staight From The Nest.... Debbie Style!
I love the little blue birds of happiness!
Here are the border and corner features. I really recommend cutting those corners way bigger than what I used they are so darn hard to glue together!
The only things on the page that are not from Straight From The Nest, are the words, musical notes, and title which I created with rubber stamps. Don't be afraid to try that on your pages they are great embellishments.
Looking forward to next week we will be posting on Wednesday and Friday using the Accent Essentials Cartridge... Hope to see you then!

born to be wild
Hi to all our Cricut friends and family, WELCOME to our new blog. We were so excited to get this blog up and going that we decided to start early. This week our featured Cartridge is STRAIGHT FROM THE NEST. We would love to have you follow us, and we welcome comments. This LO was designed by Tammy, we hope you enjoy.
Born to be wild Hi all, I first must admit that this Lo is definitely different for me, but I think it turned out so cool. I believe that the wild paper (my minds eye) fits the title born to be wild. This LO was designed using my Gypsy and cut by using design studio. I love how you can transfer from one to the other.

Page 1 on pg 1 everything but the side border and the 4x6ish frame is cut using the featured Cart. I pop dotted the center of the flower frame, and I also inked the edges of all my frames on both pages.
Page 2 On page 2 everything but the side boarder and the 5x5ish frame is from SFTN. I popped up the oval frame, owl, and the corner heart.
Here on page 2, I cut the heart out with swirls attached (page 71 in the handbook) and cut the swirls off and made them look like a corner. I think it turned out neat.
That's it for this time. I hope you all enjoyed my LO. Check back in a day or two because Debbie will be posting her LO very soon. Thank you for visiting today.
